  4. If you wish to see an example of what BarTender custom menu bars can do, there are 2 BarTender custom menu bars - Sampler1 and Sampler2 - which utilize the worksheets, charts and macros from the Microsoft Excel Sampler folder.  To use these 2 menu bars, you must do the following:

  6. 1.    Save a copy of your 'BARS.BT' file.
  7.  
  8. 2.    Copy the 'BARS.BT', 'Sampler1' and 'Sampler2' macro files from the
  9.     'Sampler Bars' folder on this disk into the folder you run The
  10.     BarTender from.
  11.  
  12. 3.    Copy the 'Sampler Files' folder from your Microsoft Excel Program
  13.     Master Disk to the root of your hard drive.
  14.  
  15. 4.    Rename your BarTender folder 'BT'.
  16.                               ------

  18. 5.    Rename your hard drive 'HD20SC'.
  19.  
  20. 6.    Run BarTender.XLM from your hard drive!

  22. You can now go through the Sampler Idea Book and follow their examples.  If a particular Excel function is not implemented in the custom menu bar, give BarTender's menu editing features a try, or switch to Excel via any 'Bar' menu!
